The 2025 GMC Sierra EV lineup has expanded, offering more options and improved pricing compared to its initial launch. The first model, the Denali First Edition, debuted at a price of $99,495 and came with a single battery option providing an EPA-estimated range of 440 miles. However, for the 2025 model year, GMC has introduced a more affordable version of the Sierra EV while also offering the possibility of greater range, expanding its appeal to a wider range of buyers in the electric truck market.

The base version of the 2025 Sierra EV Denali now starts at $91,995, which is $7,500 less than the First Edition. This reduction in price comes with a smaller Extended Range battery that delivers an estimated 390 miles of range, slightly less than the 2024 model’s 440 miles. The price cut and shorter range are part of GMC’s effort to make the Sierra EV more accessible to buyers without compromising too much on performance.

For customers looking for more range, GMC now offers an optional Max Range battery pack that increases the range to 460 miles, at a cost of $100,495. This option allows drivers to surpass the range of the previous model, making the Sierra EV competitive with other electric trucks in terms of driving distance. Additionally, the truck features fast-charging capabilities, allowing it to gain up to 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes when using a DC fast charger with a 350-kW capacity.

While the Denali models remain premium-priced, GMC plans to introduce two more affordable trims, the Elevation and AT4, in early 2024. Although pricing details for these trims haven’t been revealed, the Sierra’s sister model, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, offers an LT trim starting at around $75,000. It’s expected that the Sierra EV Elevation will have a similar price point and may also qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit, which could further reduce the overall cost for buyers.

With these upcoming additions to the lineup, GMC is aiming to make the Sierra EV more versatile and affordable, appealing to a broader range of consumers. The combination of lower pricing, different battery options, and competitive range figures positions the 2025 Sierra EV as a strong contender in the growing market for electric pickup trucks.
