For 2025, Porsche has updated the 911 GT3 with subtle yet impactful design tweaks and introduced the Weissach package for weight savings. The car features a new front spoiler, underbody fins for better aerodynamics, and updated LED headlights. The rear has a redesigned diffuser, air vents, and decklid, along with modified side plates for the rear wing. These changes align with Porsche’s philosophy of enhancing performance while maintaining the iconic 911 look. The Weissach package offers even more weight reduction through the use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts.

Under the hood, the 911 GT3 retains its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, which produces 502 horsepower but has a slightly reduced torque of 331 pound-feet due to stricter emissions regulations. Despite this, the engine still revs up to 9000 rpm and maintains its thrilling performance. Porsche has adapted the engine components from the GT3 RS, such as the camshaft profile and cylinder heads, ensuring that the car remains competitive. Both seven-speed PDK automatic and six-speed manual transmissions are available, with Porsche shortening the final-drive ratio for faster acceleration.

In terms of performance, the GT3 offers impressive speed figures. The PDK-equipped model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph, while the manual version does the same in 3.7 seconds with a slightly higher top speed of 195 mph. Porsche has also refined the GT3’s suspension by borrowing technology from the more aggressive GT3 RS, including anti-dive front axle changes to improve braking stability. The teardrop-shaped trailing arms also contribute to better aerodynamic balance at high speeds.

Porsche has placed significant emphasis on reducing weight for the 2025 GT3, offering new lightweight wheels and a 12-volt lithium-ion battery that trims 9.9 pounds. The Weissach package takes this further, introducing magnesium wheels that shave off an additional 20 pounds. Inside, the car features lightweight bucket seats with advanced safety features like a thorax airbag and optional carbon-fiber construction. Additionally, the GT3 includes modern conveniences such as a wireless charging pad and a digital gauge cluster optimized for track driving.

Finally, the GT3 Touring model returns for 2025, offering a more subtle aesthetic by replacing the large rear wing with an active spoiler. It also features new underbody aerodynamics and expanded leather upholstery options. A rear seat is available for the Touring model, catering to customer requests. Porsche has extended the Weissach package to the Touring version as well, allowing it to benefit from the same lightweight components. Orders for the 2025 GT3 will open at the end of 2024, with deliveries expected in summer 2025 at a starting price of $224,495.
