Hyundai, a top-selling global car brand, has announced plans to release 21 new models within the next six years. This aggressive strategy comes as the company seeks to become a leading provider of electric vehicles (EVs) amid tightening environmental regulations. With bans on petrol and diesel car sales approaching in markets like the UK and increasing momentum toward Net Zero goals, Hyundai is taking decisive steps to accelerate its transition to cleaner, more sustainable mobility options.

The automaker aims to offer a wide array of EVs catering to different market segments, from affordable options to luxury and high-performance models. Hyundai CEO Jaehoon Chang highlighted the company’s intent to expand its EV lineup by 2030, ensuring consumers have access to a broad variety of choices. This diverse offering positions Hyundai to stay competitive while addressing the growing global demand for EVs.

A notable highlight of this initiative is the anticipated introduction of a new sports car and several models from the luxury sub-brand Genesis. One standout vehicle is the N Vision 74, initially conceived as a concept car and now reportedly moving into production. This model, praised for its retro-inspired wedge design and modern carbon-fiber accents, has been celebrated for its innovative approach, blending classic aesthetics with futuristic technology.

According to reports, the N Vision 74 is expected to feature a groundbreaking hydrogen fuel cell powertrain delivering over 760 horsepower, aligning with the specifications of the concept version tested in 2022. With only 200 units planned for production and prices starting at £284,000, the car is generating significant buzz as an exclusive and technologically advanced offering. It is rumored to be available as early as 2026, further fueling anticipation among car enthusiasts.

Hyundai’s bold move signals its commitment to shaping the future of EVs while incorporating elements of automotive history. By combining iconic designs with advanced powertrains, the brand aims to address a gap in the EV market, appealing to traditional car lovers and forward-thinking drivers alike. This approach highlights Hyundai’s determination to redefine its role in the global transition to electric mobility.
